VTT Wissembourg 2012
VTT Wissembourg 2012 30 Sep 2012 Start 0800-1100
This a CTF in France. Everyone I have asked about this ride has said this is the one to do. With a 6 euro entry fee who could say no?
This one will take you over the border and back. Bring your passport.

i'm so tempted!!! but, i'm already projected to attend a relative's 60th. but, i'm trying to come up with a good excuse. something along the lines, "my bike will rust if i don't hit the trail if couple days, and this race will keep me young!"

God damn I wanna go. Doc says nfw until I heal. That puts me out of Stromberg, too. I'm quietly having a temper tantrum inside.

Re: VTT Wissembourg 2012
Rule #5 is HTFU. I know. That ain't gonna fly this time. I don't want to end up riding with a carbon fiber prosthesis or any of the other threats the doc made. Seriously, he made me repeat per-i-os-te-al he-ma-to-ma to him, by syllable, just like that, 'cause it don't hurt and I feel strong. This vascular sh*t don't quite work the same way as bones and joints.

HH6 did not have any reason for me not to attend, so I am in. I have invited a friend of mine to join, and am awaiting his reply. If he doesn't want to go, I have an extra seat in the car, and an extra slot on the bike rack if anyone wants to carpool.

My friend can't come, so I have an extra seat. Anyone want to ride along? I will probably leave Landstuhl around 0700, unless someone wants to leave significantly earlier or later.

I don't know if others will agree but today's Ride was "Brutally Insane" with climbs that set you deep within the Pain Cave and descents that started out dry and fast then turned muddy before you realized it. Defiantly worth doing it again next year:

Zenkem,
oh maaaannnn...am I jealous. Wish I could have been there...especially with that beautiful weather you had. Sounds like everything came together and it was incredible. I got in a short ride today but short of that I've been out of the saddle for several days now.

I think "brutally insane" might be a bit strong, but it was definitely a rough course, especially as my first big ride after the Erbeskopf incident. It was nice seeing you on the ride. I waited around for awhile after I finished, but once I had changed clothes, and had lunch with two beers, I decided it was time to get on the road.

Cute[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.], but I'd be more impressed you had five 1.0L mugs in each had for you riding buddies... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
