Folded nonfolding bead tires
So I ordered some tires on eBay (conti mtn king 2.2) that were advertised as folding bead. Got the yesterday and they ARENT but the seller had folded them nonetheless!
Got them about 90% straightened out but still a couple of very mild but persistent bends.
Nowhere did the bead break or poke through the rubber.
Can I mount them like that?

Re: Folded nonfolding bead tires
Yes. The problem you might run into is trouble getting a bead to hold on the rim at creases. A simple trick for this is to us soapy water in spray bottle when you mount it like you do with tubless tires. It will help the bead set better. I hope the seller gave you a little cash back as the price difference and weight difference is significant between folding and non-folding.

Super inflate them.
High PSI and let it sit for awhile.
