Stew Ride 13 Jan-1000

I think it's time to get this ride going again. Good ride, grub, and company. The route and bike will vary with the weather, or based on the interest of the group. I'd like to kick it off with a CX type ride (fire road, single track, bit of pavement) followed by a pot roast and refreshments at my place.

Sunday, January 13th
1000 @ the Kaiserslautern HBF
Ride for about 2 hours, then return for a meal
Pace determined by the group

My apartment is just a couple blocks from the HBF, and parking is limited. If your interested in meeting there, let me know and I'll give you the address. There is a big lot on the way to Bremerhof, with free parking. We could meet there is most will be driving. The start time could be adjusted either way to maximize participation. Thoughts?

Great idea to revive this ride...it's a great one. I will not be in town that weekend, but would love to join/host in the future. Have fun!

I'd like to join. I'm a little out of shape compared to my summer form, but I'll let you slide on the no-drop in my case. I'll get my cardio regardless, and I don't want to impede yours if it plays out that way. I especially like the CX idea, got a bike set up with those skinny little knobbies and strong wheels that I'd like to test off-road.

I will join and can pick anyone up along the way from Waldfischbach. Let me know if I can bring any drinks/food to help out.

As BigWheels said, should be a good weekend for a CX ride. I'll fine tune the details on Friday, and post.

I'm still thinking about selling the CX, just haven't pushed it too hard. I've been having too much fun riding it!

Chad - was looking at doing another one on the 27th. Will you be around?

Guys - I hate to do this, but I'm in no shape to ride tomorrow. I missed 3 days of work this past week with an illness, and havent really turned the corner. As much as I would like to go cruise thru the snow with everyone, it's not the best decision for me.

I would like to reschedule for the 27th, 2 weeks from now. I think we will have a good crew. I'll still prepare the meal at my place and have a good route mapped out.

Again, my apologies.
