Jersey design pics.
Alright guys/ladies,
Here is what I came up with from what you all asked for at the meetings. Remember, it is not the final product. Font can be changed, sizes of images ( flags, logos, etc.), and things can still be added or moved around.
I also realize that the back logo says Ramstein. You will just have to visit pretend land and imagine it says our name. I know we still need to finish the boar as well and get it on there somewhere.
The 2 other logos on there are for the bike shop and the castle restaurant.
Give me feedback on what you like, don't like, would like to see, or not to see.

I think this is enough to go on!!! Let the design team at Northwave play with it...after all that's what the setup fee is for...

Since it is a cycling jersey, you usually can see the side panels under the arms really well while riding. Any thought to putting the website there instead of on the bottom of the back? Like this:

Yeah, that was the intention eventually, I just don't have the time or experience to do it all by myself.

Re: Jersey design pics.
I just want to throw this out there,
I personally would not be against just sending Northwave some of our ideas and let them make a design for us. We are paying them 275 euro after all and they have artist that do this for a living. I don't mind getting our ideas in order and talking to Frank when he returns on Monday from his vacation. Let me know how you all feel on this idea.

I have to say I am a huge fan of the bottom of the sleeves. Selling point of the jersey for me.

Are we going to set a drop dead date for sponsors at the next meeting so we can get this jersey in production??? We need to step it up, there are only two and half months before the racing seasons begin...

How about instead of that wheel, we have the the bike boar with KMCC or KMC Cycling across the bottom? And how about having just one flag on either side of the shirt?

I am in total agreement with this. We are paying the folks at Northwave, who are professionals, to help design the jersey...so let's let them do their job. We can send them the components we want and see what they come up with. I think this will be a much more efficient process than the one we have going now.

I agree, that what we are paying them for.
Has anyone had any luck with sponsors? I will go by the restaurant on Saturday to talk to them.

Re: Jersey design pics.
I think Slim's design is good enough for two things:
1-To send to northwave and get their artist started on working for his 275 euros.
2-to work into the sponsorship packets
One question: will northwave start the art work on it prior to actually getting the 275 in hand?

No, we need to commit to the jersey design by providing the start up fee...

Hey everyone, I know I'm no longer there, but dream of riding the trails all the time, anyway, if I can add my 2 cents about the jersey. I agree with the above about the wheel, it's a little busy. Most jerseys that we all are attracted are simple and bold. Easy to recognize and remember. The cycling boar is a cool idea. I see a lot of jerseys over here in Cali, some are hideous. Just look up Hammerinwheels cycling club here in Roseville CA...ugly! I believe when you have small font that is hard to see or read from a distance people tend not to pay much attention. For example, take a look at most Pro teams, the ones you most of the time can recognize right off are pretty simple and bold. I think it is team Healthnet or something like that, the font is small and hard to read or recognize and not very attractive. Again my 2 cents, but I'll be checking in and
may get in on the order. Good advert for you guys when I head out to Travis and Beale
and the local area for some rides.

Re: Jersey design pics.
Food for thought, if you put a "road wheel" on a jersey there may be a MTBer or two who don't like it because they don't ride or own a road bike. Maybe a chain ring or cog could work, represents all, roadies, MTBers and all others. Okay, I'll shut up now.

Re: Jersey design pics.
Taking Eric's design, and working in some of the suggestions, what do you all think of this design:
Got rid of the wheel and flags... replaced it with the boar. simplified the flags ont eh shoulder to one on each shoulder. Cleaned up the files and used the same text as on the website.
Thoughts?
Personally I think this is a pretty good solution and ready to send to the north wave artists... if y'all like the design.
(P.S., yes I showed this to slim and worked it through him before posting here.)

Re: Jersey design pics.
Personally I like better than the wheel, which I found a little busy with 4 flags on the jersey. The white lettering on the grey tends to wash out little, but could "pop" with an outline like the front.
Since the artists at northwave are graphic designers I'm sure they will be able to take this and run with it, assembling something everyone will be stoked on!
