Re: KMC Cycling Club Jersey
If you guys are keen on a new motto in German, that would be well understood in German;
"Radeln muss sein!"
The translation roughly translates to "There must be cycling." and it is a play on a very common, well-known German phrase: "Ordnung muss sein!" which means "There must be order."
It would be instantly understood as a twist on that common phrase by most Germans, and would make sense for a cycling club.

Re: KMC Cycling Club Jersey
Guten Morgan KMC Cycling. I trust the lack of action on the forum is because everyone is so focused on their KMC Cycling Jersey designs. No worries, keep working. I just wanted to bump this thread and encourage our new members to get involved.
NEW FOLKS: we are designing a new club jersey and encourage you to participate. We are looking to crack the mold on conventional jersey design here and need your help. Follow the thread and don’t be shy!
Let’s take a quick pulse on the pig logo. Eurotrash is willing to rework the "bitchin' tattoo art pig" (BTP) into a nice vector image, sutiable for production. However, this will take some time and we would not want to waste his time. The "cartoon snorty-pig" (CSP) is owned by an artist and if we go with this pig, we will need to pay for custimozation and use (about $300); nobody’s time is in jeprody, just money. So, which direction are we leaning?

I would give my support to the BTP. I also would restate my support for not changing the motto, as it is on everything as is, including the wool short/long sleeve jerseys.

That's a good point, changing the motto could be problematic for those who got the motto branded on their "seats" last year at SiS. Not sure, maybe that was just a nasty rumor..?
Speaking of wool ... if anyone has a medium sized child that would like a first edition SS KMC Cycling Wool jersey, or a 2nd edition LS, please let me know. I donated the 2nd SS to Thursty Nelly's. I gues I could keep them for a belly shirt drag outfit for SiS next year ...

Re: KMC Cycling Club Jersey
BTP for me.
And as to the motto... We seem to be grasping/searching, and nothing has really POPPED.
Again, I'll say; if we find something that just really WOWs us, then I don't see any problem with changing it, but let's not change it just to change it, especially withso much invested in the current one.
Besides as a motto:it really works for a cycling club, every cyclist can identify with the sentiment...

Re: KMC Cycling Club Jersey
To clarify, I'll gladly invest the time- but only after a vote. We'll just play with low-res sketches until then for the BTP idea. I hope to post up a layout candidate this weekend, and get the fire going for the meeting on the 28th.MJ wrote:. I like these. I think we may have something with the current motto: wer rastet, der rostet, in different languages for each revision. Prestige worldwide! Can anyone translate it into Swahili?
