Community project! Lets Do it?
Great repair Show Jman! You really need to be the lead man for our Bicycle maintenance day event. Ya so what do ya think K.M.C. Cycling? After riding last night I had an epiphany. Ya you can laugh. That we should do a couple hour bike maintenance day outside the KMC Mall. Do to the abundance of mechanics that are apart of our club. Heck we could even sell hot dogs or something to help raise money for free tubes and stuff. I have been slacking on the volunteer tip and really want to do something for the community and soon. I think now would be the time(summer) to do something soon. I don't want to start something and just talk about it anymore. This would be a great opportunity to advertise who we are. Weigh in? Do you want to help? Is this even possible?.

Count me in as well. It would be awesome to do it somewhere like inside the KMCC. Lots of exposure. I am pretty sure outdoor rec would have a rainbow fit if we did that though. Advertising shouldn't be that bad if you can get on AFN and plug it in the mornings and put an ad in the Kaiserslautern American. Parts will be the bear. Lots of tubes will be needed in all sizes as well as cables/housing. From working on lots of bikes like this, that will be the majority of the fixes. Some will be unrepairable which is always frustrating for the owner and mechanic. Things like broken brake levers, rear derailleurs, and brake pads worn to a nub. Those are high dollar parts that we can install, but can't have on hand.

Outdoor rec is actually very interested in woeking with us on things like this.
We could probably get them to stock up on some basic parts and offer them at discounted prices etc.
