Flanders Fun
Flanders is in 8 days. . . pretty excited for that.
What is the plan, we getting together and riding as a group?
As of now I am riding and staying with a guy from the Med Group, along with our female companions at Sofitel Brussels Europe, which is obviously in Brussels somewhere.
We don't really have a plan for Sunday either, but I wouldn't mind finding a hill, bringing some chairs, a cooler and taking in the suffering of the pros.

Re: Flanders Fun
Brian,
I am staying at Sofitel Brussels Le Louise
40 Avenue de la Toison d Or - 1050 BRUSSELS
Is this the same hotel as you? I will not be able to leave on 1 April until approx 3:30 due to work, so likely will get into brussels a bit late. I would like to ride the 150 km, but I am flexible. Our cell phone is 01712685049. A good group will be nice to ride with.

Re: Flanders Fun
They are different hotels. I will be working on Friday until 330 as well (well most likely.)
Cell is 015123568442 for anyone that wants to get together somewhere in Brussels. The bigger the group, the less work we have to do.
I thought about the 150k, but #1 I have never ridden real cobbles before. #2 I haven't put in too many long rides, off the trainer at least. #3 Laura is riding along as well, 70k on a bike might kill her, 150k might be a divorce. . .

I may be going up for this, depends on the weather If mother nature abides, I'll head up on Fri evening and sleep in the family truckster. I'm up for doing the 150, it may kill me but oh-well. SOTO and BL I'll let you know next week if I'm going so we can meet up and ride together.

Re: Flanders Fun
Sounds good. There was someone else, Tim out of Landstuhl, that said he is going up, and may be up for the 150km. Regardless of the ride, we can meet up for dinner and drinks at some point. Later.

Re: Flanders Fun
I think that we should all have a meeting point before hand so those who want to ride together can, it will also reduce the amount of cars we take to the starting point. Perhaps somewhere in Brussels? Anyone who has done it have a good idea on this?

Re: Flanders Fun
Brian and others,
Tren and I will be heading up early evening, get in around 8-9 pm. Are you still doing the 70 Km? My number is 016093047540, if you want to meet before the ride.

Re: Flanders Fun
We will be leaving a bit after you tonight. We still don't know if my wife can ride, she might be working tomorrow. . . .
As far as the morning goes, we will probably be up for meeting you guys, and at least hanging out together in the morning. If not, we can maybe get together for dinner afterword.
