Okay, I'm planning to do an early morning ride on Thanksgiving day. (I prefer to earn my calories in advance rather than pay off the debt the next day).

The route is from Ramstein Air Base, through Kaiserslautern, to Frankenstein (via Hochspeyer) and back. Roguhly 35km out and 35 back.

there's only one really significant hill. It's somewhat steep but short going toward Hochspeyer, and then a long fluid decent to Frankenstein. This descent turns into a moderate, drawn out climb on the way back. The plan is to get out there in roughly 1:20 to 1:30 hrs, stop for five minutes to stretch and gel up or eat fruit snacks as your personal preference may be, then turn around and ride back to be back at around 9 a.m. to throw the turkey int he oven.

I'm looking to do a modest 15-16 MPH (25 KMH) pace, and will be keeping to the bike paths and lanes as much as possible. In downtown KTOWN there will be some spots where I ride the road.

Start time would be at 6 a.m. from somewhere on ramstein.

Post if this sounds like your idea of a good time. (Yeah, I know pretty sick idea of a good time at 6 a.m. on Thanksgiving!)
