We have to register??? I got an e-mail that told me I was already registered with a start time of 0935. If we need to be there by 0700, then we need to meet up at 0600.

you have pick up your start number. You can do that starting at 0730.
Re: Gäsbock 11 Lambrecht Marathon
If we get there by 0730 it will also give me a couple hours to take care of "buisness", so I don't have to do it trailside.

It's all about effective time management!!! Do your buisness on the way, get your number at 0730 and start riding at 0731...

I need all the help I can get if I wanna finish before they close down the course at 1330!!!
Check out the site, they posted the stats for the short and long course. Looks like there isn't as much climbing as initially thought. It might even be worth it to do the long course:

Can anyone speak German enough to figure out the startblock times? Also, where did you see the map of the course.

Re: Gäsbock 11 Lambrecht Marathon
Matt, the first block rolls at 0930 and the rest of the blocks will roll in 5 minute intervals after that. There are no official maps or stats of the trail posted. I looked up the routes from previous years online to get an idea of what i was getting into. Those links are at the beginning of the thread.
Mark, the link you posted does not show the stats for the trail. That is an example of the sign that you will see when the trail splits. that is the remaining distance and vert for each direction. Also, the course does not close at 1330. That is the time they expect the first riders from the long course to start coming in.

Holy crap, just looked at the weather forcast, 60's all week and then 75 on Saturday! I hope it's as accurate as it usually is, we should be OK then. If it is that hot that beer is going to taste good at the finish (and at all the stops in between...)

I'm game!!! I can haul four bikes on the rack as well and 'bout 200 (chopped up) in the bed. What's a good time to meet up??? I'd like to get there early for 07:00 registration...Ride starts at 0900...
Are we going to lock this plan in? I am good with meeting at V-weh. Mark you good with driving? We can talk gas money that morning.

I talked with Matt tonight and he said your bike rack will support his FS bike where as mine is not FS friendly. So we came to a senses that you have the better ride. I don't mind driving if this dosen't work for you. What are your thought's Matt???

Whichever works best. I know the adapter worked great that Dan has rigged. Dan what do you say? We can float some clams your way for the gas. Your truck has a cover over the bed doesn't it? If not, we could put the FS rides in the bed.

I have two rigged adapters and one aftermarket. I am going to take my FS, so I can accomodate two more FS bikes no problem.

RR I guess you can count me in if you still have room. Save an adapter for me.

Sounds like we gotta a plan!!! Do we all agree on a Drop Time of 0630hrs at the Vogelweh Shopette???
I think this ride is going to call for a stiffer recovery drink then BEER alone:

Re: Gäsbock 11 Lambrecht Marathon
Sorry guys but I'm going to have drop out of the car pool. My wife enlightened me, as she so often dose, about making a commitment later in the day on Saturday. So I need to be able to leave the marathon early enough to get back to the house to attend a get together.
My plan is to leave the house at 0600hrs Saturday morning and be in Lambrecht before 0700hrs. I scoped out the map and plan to park at the Lidl (this will make getting out of town easier) right off of 39 then ride to the start. By time y'all arrive I'll already be in line so feel free to join me...

Just to verify the data. We are meeting at Vogelweh bowling alley at 6:30...right? Daniel, Steve, and me. Slacker Mark is going alone (just kidding of course).

Let's meet at the shoppette at 0630. I will have three rigs for the FS bikes. I have a cooler I can bring also if necessary. I am hoping to be done by 1430 and out of there (if nothing is going on ) by 1530. You guys have my number so give me a call on the last minute changes.

You still doing the 75K daniel? Also, did anyone see on the website how much the jerseys's cost. I have looked around but didn't find anything. Wish I would have known they were preselling them.

Just an FYI, I'll be driving myself and will have room for one extra bike on the way home. Just in case someone wants to switch to the long ride or hang out in the beer tent after, I could give you a lift home. I plan on hanging out for a while after the ride.
