New to KMC and keen to ride
Hi, I'm Mike, I met a few of you guys at the Rodenbach race and was advised about this cllub. I live in Mannheim (though originally come from England) and am keen to ride out mostly at weekends but can do wednesday and friday afternoons too. I ride a mixture of MTB and road bike, which I started this year and mosty go out alone. I am relatively keen and train quite hard but would also like to go for a few social rides.
I would love to hear from you, any regular rides etc...

Welcome. You make our second UK rider. Too many more and we are going to have to add a Union Jack to our jersey along with the US and German flag.

Welcome!
If you feel up to traveling to Sandhuasen near Heidelberg, there is a fairly consistent group ride every Wednesday night. You would have to become a member of the forum here: http://www.koenigstuhlbikers.de/

Welcome, Mike!
You would probably like our Thursday ride from Gelterswoog, which you can find in the MTB Rides section of the forum.

Thanks
Thanks guys, i am mostly looking to ride out on weekends now that the days are getting shorter. I am happy to drive to the Pfalz etc. and am up for MTB or Road biking. On a typical session I ride 2-3 hours, MTB between 40-60 Km ish, depending on the trail and 60-90 Km on the Road bike. I hope to catch up on the trails or streets soon!

This wouldnt be too bad, the Union Jack seems to be the winning colours in Bike sport at the moment.spookyload wrote:Welcome. You make our second UK rider. Too many more and we are going to have to add a Union Jack to our jersey along with the US and German flag.
