Bike repainting
Anyone know a place to get a bike painted in the area? I definitely don't think i could do it myself. How much do would a good paint job cost? Thanks!

Road Rage had his Intense painted by a German auto shop- check with him. It turned out nice.

Dude,
I painted that thing in my garage. It's a Krylon special.
Any auto body shop will paint a bike. However, it might get a little expensive due to German hazardous waste disposal laws.
Frank has a guy that did those Chinese frames he use to sell.

Re: Bike repainting
I thought you were asking around at a body shop or something before you decided to do it yourself. Oh well. My experience is rattlecan paint chips. I sandblasted my KHS, then wiped with solvent and a tack cloth, primed/sanded/primed/sanded and wiped with solvent between operations, yadda yadda, and that fawker chips from locking it up and leaning it on stuff, loading/unloading, etc. I used duplicolor in a 3-color scheme and clear-coated... thought I was doing it right... But every powdercoated frame I've owned has been bomb-proof. There are coating shops in the area.Road_Rage wrote:eurotrash wrote:Road Rage had his Intense painted by a German auto shop- check with him. It turned out nice.

If it is aluminum, you can annodize it too. That is bomb proof.
