Need help from down range
Okay, all you KMC Pigs (replacement for the term RACCERS--I'm going to try and make it stick ) deployed downrange, I need your help with a charitable project idea I have.
I posted the idea in a separate thread. The short version is that we collect childrens bikes, get them in good running order and send them downrange to a point fof contact who can get them to local Afghan and Iraqi kids while out on patrol etc.
This is where I need the help from downrange KMC Pigs. Are any of you in a position and have the ability to support something like this by recieving some bikes via your APO address downrange, adn distributing them to some patrolling units who can give them out to local kids... or give them out yourself if your in a patrolling unit?
At first I am pretty sure it would be a low volume, maybe a few bikes per week. It could however gain momentum, and then it might be more than what can casually be handled through MPS. If that happens we'll have to re-assess and see if we could get some units involved in supporting.
So I guess it boils down to 2 questions:
1-Are there any of you downrange who could support a low-volume thing like I described above?
2-If so, could you also serve as a POC for something like this if it got bigger than that?
Thanks,
Jonesy
