Sat early road ride from steinwenden/ramstein

18-19 target average speed for roughly 45-50 miles... Well that's the goal anyway.

Some tri-geeks are hitting the Gwoog for a Sat morn swim followed by a recon of the 70.3 bike course. 10am swim time.

So, we're meeting at 7:15 at the Barbarossa bakery in Ramstein.

Route still to be determined, but probably up toward lautereckern and back

About 2-2.5 hours.

Put them on MTB and let them ride our Thursday course. Entertainment at it's finest.

Jonesy and myself went on a 38 mile road ride and averaged 18.3 mph over rolling terrain. It was my first road ride with another on a road bicycle. Jonesy pulled 75% and I pulled 25%. The weather was perfect starting at 7:15 AM. I burned 2400 calories hydrating and eating one power bar on the trip. Jonesy says I will get better when I purchase clips and shoes for the bicycle. Right now I am riding with shoes only and no clip system.

I had a lot of fund and I hope to do it again soon.

Good scenery, great weather, overall a perfect ride.
Get yourself some clipless pedals and it will be you dragging me along before too long, and then you can go give some of the cheetahs in the club a run for their money!

Cheetahs...we need to get come cougars.
