Weekly Thursday NO DROP MTB group ride Gelterswoog [2012 archive]

Unless it's dumping buckets of rain, I plan on being there.

Well, since I rode yesterday, and I'll have the chance to ride tomorrow, I'll pass on ridin in the rain today.

if this weather remains as bad as it is now, i'll be skipping this muck-fest.

actually the weather may not be so bad (right now). is anyone else considering riding tonight? if you are, then i'll give'r a try...otherwise its not worth it.

Sorry, I think Spooky-itis has got me!!! Not really willing to get the bike wet today...

i rode the big loop and it was not bad. but, the roots and rocks are treacherous when wet. i went down (not bad) on the steep trail before the log where we all get off. lost the front, started sliding over the drop before the really trenchy area. luckily nothing broken. about the last 3 kms my lights gave me the warming i was running low so i got a bit scared. but, they held till the end.

It's not bad out there in the weather. We are lucky to live in an area that has such good soil drainage. It'll get pretty slippy when the leaves come down, but they settle in after some precip. I expect to be back in the saddle soon- Lights charged, fenders and booties on standby.

i was reading up on the Pfalz, and my side of the Pfalz gets about 50% less rain than your side. just sayin.

I hope to ride tomorrow. I'll update in the am.

I will be there. I will also bring the post ride refreshments. Maybe enough for eurotrash to have one this time. Lol

Would love to ride tonight, even have a new light to try out, but trying to get over a soar thought. Going to have to pass, have a great ride!

Sad to say, yes I do still own some bikes. The bad thing is I do not get to ride them.

Brian, I will prep my gear tonight so I won't have any excuses tomorrow. I won't be super fast on the trail, it's been a bummer month, but at least I will have lights and the right apparel.

The time will be amazing. I should have my new 183 rotors in so I will be workin those in a bit. Glad you can make it out.

Got my bike and gear in the van... and my pads.

Pads on a Woog ride are the social equivalent to wearing a helmet on the short bus, but if a little piece of Nerf would have kept me riding instead of healing all month. So prepare your jokes now, because with this much notice they better be good!

I think you already said it...if this isn't enough reason to show up tonight I don't know what is...
