Mission Statement

The K.M.C. Cycling Club is a diverse group of people from across the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) brought together by a common interest in cycling and cycling advocacy. Whether through racing, group rides, community involvement or social events centered on cycling, K.M.C. Cycling's primary purpose is to further the sport of cycling in the KMC, and provide a valuable cycling outlet to its members. We are a not-for-profit organization that values diversity, friendship and, above all, a good ride.

To all my skinny tire friends,

Is there anyway you guys would consider moving a ride to Monday, Wednesday? I would like to do some rode rides with you guys.

The road group is struggling to gain traction...max riders we have been able to get on an outing is 5 and 2 dropped out 10 kms into the route. Anyways...definitely up to ride on a Monday or Wednesday afternoon as well. We will shoot to have a KMC road ride on Tuesday and Wednesday next week and see where we are with the turnout. Things can always be adjusted if they are in the best interest of the group as a whole...just need to form a decent sized group.

Its also going to be hard to get a good group going when the days are getting so short

Oh and after this weekend, I am off the bike for a while. . . Marathon training.

Brian,

Agreed...sounds like the existence of group riding may have to incorporate morning or lunch rides once it starts getting dark really early.

Running...who needs it...you are riding well...do not give into the thought of hanging up the bike for the winter.
