Rodalben Sunday
Alright y'all, let's get a good showing for a Rodalben ride before the weather gets crummy for the fall.. oh yeah nevermind 'bout the weather...
Let's get a good group ride going.
Full Loop, early, but not 'torture early'
0700 Gravel lot, start the B-side--Keep a steady pace (14-18kph very limited breaks) to complete the B-side in roughly two hours
0900 Meet up with the late risers at Lidl and do the A-side at a sociable/no-drop pace
Any takers?

I want to join...unless there is a torrential downpour. Sorry to be the FNG, but where is the gravel lot in Rodalben? I will be driving from Vogelweh housing area.
Thanks!

Re: Rodalben Sunday
If there is a downpour, then you MUST ride. That is a requirement.
The gravel lot is the dividing line between the A-side and the B-side, with the path tunnel under the road, right?
...and as usual, any carpoolers? *edit* TDYguy, obvious choice... If you want to meet in Landstuhl, I can drive us.

I could give you a ride down on Sunday since I go right by there, or you could follow.

Re: Rodalben Sunday
Okay, so who's in for what time?
That way, we know for whom we should wait at the two meeting times and points.
John, I'd love to catch a ride with you, if you're planning on doing the 7:00 start. Meet at your place say 6:20 ish? If not, no worries, see you in Rodalben...
Anyway, all, please post what time you plan on being there (7:00 at gravel lot, or 9:00 at Lidl).

I am going to do the 7:00 AM start, but likely only half. TDYGuy. I could meet you at the Barbarossa Bakery just south of Vogelweh at 0620 if that works for you. I will send you a PM with my phone number in case anything changes.

0620 at the bakery (125 Trippstadter strasse...I hope) is perfect. I have a silver subaru, see you tomorrow.

Hey spook, what time are you leaving your house? Can I swing over and catch a ride, if John doesn't respond.... I can always catch another ride, or take the train back if you end up only doing half.

I'm going to have to skip it tomorrow. The wife and I both got a bug that's been going around work, leaving me feeling like doodoo warmed over. Not optimal timing, never is.

Re: Rodalben Sunday
Not sure what happened today, I must have been at the wrong bakery. I drove to rodalben and parked by the gas station at the entrance to town and rode the F trail, you guys are right, great trail! I crossed by the parking lot where your cars were around 10:30...I think, but didn't see anyone around.
Are there any rides after work this week?
