Social/Informal Meeting

Okay, I know we're not having a full up meeting for a couple mroe weeks, but anyone interested in a social call at which we COULD discuss club business, OR we could just discuss the beers we're drinking, politics, love life etc...
Anyway, I'd like to see if we could do a social call at Thirsty Nelly's this wednseday... anyone game for this?

It's not terribly far from the train station... especially by bike!
I'll post the address tomorrow. They don't serve food there, but there is a doner stand across the way that has Fantastic Doners if I remember correctly.

If you know where the hannenfass is, it's just down the street from there. Great Irish beer etc.

I plan on being there tomorrow even if just one other person wants to stop by... it's on my ride route home and so it's not a big trip for me.
Let's say 1700-1800... I'll try to get there right away at 1700 but might not make it untill 1730 or so... And we can certainly stay as late as our spouses, and our ability to recover from hangover, will permit of us...

No worries on attending or not tonight... it's on my way home, and Mike has said he'll be there (it's very near his house), so it's not a particular stretch for either of us.... I just think if we're doing a monthly meeting, then sometime in the middle of the OFF two weeks it's kind of nice to get together and socialize over a beer or two... if it's convenient. As far as the location, it's one of our sponsors and definitely a great place.
I'm thinking we can move this thing around.... maybe next month we do a social call at the Belgian Club on Ramstein...
It's things like this that build the club as much as meetings at which we discuss 'business' etc.

So, Mike and I met for a few Guinesses. A quite enjoyable happy hour, though the remaining 18km commute home was interesting on a belly full of guiness and doner (no Mike, I didn't make the train!)
Discussed just a little bit o' 'business.' Namely an idea ofr an upcoming fun race that I'll detail more in another post later this week... and there's a hang up in the current plan for club T shirts, so we're looking at a couple of local options.
Not being so much a real 'meeting' it was nice to sit and chat about other topics etc.
