Good evening to all,
I would like to say that I am very happy to have been entrusted by you all to be the club president. This club has been around for a while now, and I have been around since day one. I have never been in a cycling club before and I have found the experience to be an all around pleasant one. I enjoy riding, building and talking bikes with all of you, and I have learned a great deal. However, I do have some concerns.
We have lost some members to PCS, ETS and the other events. Some of those guys were at one time key players in our club. I think it is important that we find members to fill those voids.
We forfeited our PO status and along with it the necessity for a secretary or treasurer. It also prevents us from participating in any on-post activities as an entity (as I understand it). In my opinion this kind of hampers our ability to give back to the community we live and work in.
The low voter turn out does not exactly boost my confidence or belief that I represent all of you. However, I am extremely interested in improving what has been handed to me. I plan on doing this in accordance with our mission statement and the wishes of the members.
Thank you,
Via saevio
