The K.M.C. Cycling Club is a diverse group of people from across the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) brought together by a common interest in cycling and cycling advocacy. Whether through racing, group rides, community involvement or social events centered on cycling, K.M.C. Cycling's primary purpose is to further the sport of cycling in the KMC, and provide a valuable cycling outlet to its members. We are a not-for-profit organization that values diversity, friendship and, above all, a good ride.

Here are the minutes from the last meeting. Please check them out and let me know if I need to make adjustments! I'll be posting the proposed agenda for tomorrow's meeting soon...See you guys tomorrow evening 
Ramstein Area Cycling Club
Minutes Wednesday, December 1, 2010
1. Amend/Approve last week's minutes—approved
2. club designation (e.g. PO, base club, tax number)—discussed the need to look in to various options being a priority. Will need to find out what is required, benefits, negatives. What is the minimum commitment for us to do things on post. What do we need to do to get the ball rolling. Chad will contact Landstuhl gym regarding becoming base club. Steve and Kirsten will collaborate with Jonesy regarding becoming a PO. Kirsten will contact Community Bank to see what is required to obtain a club account. Steve will contact Kendall regarding information about a German tax number.
3. Sponsors—Jim will follow up with Volvo. They are interested in sponsoring us. Chad will email Jim the sponsorship packet. Mike will talk to Thirsty Nellies. Next meeting is the deadline for obtaining sponsors. After that we will go with what we have for this year.
4. Community Involvement—discussed helping Aggroflatty with Team4Mil and RAAM. Suggested a spin-a-thon with target date at end of January (but at least before March). Chad will talk to Landstuhl gym?? and Terry. Jim will talk to KMCC about possibly setting up there. We could obtain sponsors and plan for the event to last 8-9 hours.
KMC Cycling club has a SIS spot and Fatty is open to charity
5. Jersey kits—board recommended going forward with jerseys even if we only have a couple of pictures/emblems (e.g. Frank’s, Burgshanke). Steve will email Eurotrash to see if he’s willing to finish the design. Suggested making Northwave iron out any problems with design (e.g. font), Erik will experiment with fonts and colors and post online
6. club mascot—looked at picture of mascot created by Jonesy. Board nominated, seconded, and approved mascot by majority vote
Mark will front the money for stickers
7 IMBA membership—no new information obtained
8. Open Forum—Mike has friends who can make KMC Cycling Tshirts
Aviano hosts a race. Jim will talk to ODR about possibly sponsoring a van and trailer
Discussed moderators—whoever has a section could potentially be a moderator and have some admin status on forum
