Charity events

Unfortunately United Airlines is going to keep me from attending the meeting his month. I do, however, want to help out with the road race (as well as ride in it.) so, any info would be great.

I will also not be able to attend the meeting... sorry guys.

The status of the bank account is pretty simple: Kendall and I just need to actually find a time that we can both get together at the bank (when they'ere actually open) and set up the account. The paperwork is all there. Also once that is done, in pretty short order we should have our paypal account setup as well.

I too have some ideas for charity/community events, but I'll wait and see what y'all come up with at the meeting absed on the minutes.

We talked about the tour, tractor racing, different things the club is about.

Need to have another meeting with the board member present next time.

All Stay tune as we have a key member that will be leaving with in two weeks.

Slim will be returning to the States. They are PCSing.

The meeting was enjoyable, but pretty unproductive. No agenda, minutes, old business, new business, etc. Now that we've done all the work to establish our PO status, we really need to outline what's necessary to keep it. Understand that it's summer time and lots of people are away/otherwise engaged. Would like to know if monthly meetings are "really" necessary, or if quarterly would suffice. I would propose that, if possible, we plan for a meeting in September with nominations and elections for board members. If there are specific issues which come up before then, ie race planning, etc, then we can plan ad hoc committee meetings to meet the need. Would be great to shore up the accounting side of the house as soon as possible. The money is probably one of the most important areas of concern for the powers keeping watch over private organizations.
