I've got car repairs to do this weekend so I may be out. I ride pretty frequently and commute a lot. What village do you live in? I have some awesome trails right behind my house that I frequently or I ride the loop around LRMC from gate 3. I am a single track junky, my village loop has minimal fire roads and a jaunt through the village.

I live in Ramstein and I'm planning to commute in once I've got settled into work. I didn't think there would be much good riding around the base, it's good to know different. The local bike shop directed me to their facebook page 'Ramstein gravity riders' and They seem to do rides out on some Saturdays, from the shop. let me know if you want to get out, chances are i'll be available.

Send me the FB page. I would like to see what they are about. The "gravity riders" part intrigues me as I ride downhill a lot by traveling to Austria and Czech to ride via a lift. I raced Cat 1 DH for five years.

The trail that wraps around LRMC is good. It's nearly all narrow single track with a lot of rocks and has some technical sections that challenge you staying in your pedals.

I moved here from New Hampshire so the quality of riding dropped for me drastically.

I'm from the lake district in England so I haven't had anywhere near the standard I was used to since I moved away from there. page is:

I fully understand. You have to leave Germany to get good riding IMHO.

I have a loop behind my village I like to hit up weekly. It's 120 meters of climbing with around 90 meters of continuous fast DH.

This group looks cool. I may have to pick up one of their rides.

Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. Army hospital on the hill. The trail wraps around the steep hillside that wraps around the base/hospital.
