Any big rides this weekend?
This is the last weekend that Grandma is here, free time is coming to an end so looking to get out for a big ride. Anyone have any plans or interested? Rodalben or Gwoog if we have to, maybe a road trip to Luxembourg to shake things up?

I'll probably ride both days since I go back to single parent status on Tuesday. I'm open for anything.

I have a masters class sat and sun 9-5. So unless you want to do it under lights (and freeze), I am out.

Re: Any big rides this weekend?
Okay well who would be up for meeting at Gwoog on Sunday morning at 9:00?
FYI if noone posts and says they'll be there then I may find an alternate route that I'm more comfortable with doing on my own.
Also if you guys officially decide to do something on Saturday please let me know. I may be able to join you.
Steve I hope you feel better!

Darn right Spookyload--more cowbell please Okay looks like I'll plan on Sunday at 9 at Gwoog and I'll keep checking the forum in case a Saturday ride pops up and I can make it. Sunday it's supposed to be a whopping 45 degrees out!!

Re: Any big rides this weekend?
I'm undecided, been wanting to ride out from the house (Hermersberg) and hit Trail #2 (Phaltzwald) in Waldfischbach...but then it's always fun riding with the group. Depending on how the weekend plays out I might just be able to get both rides in...dunno...

We could do the "F" trail or trail # 2; we can do the castle or we can ride down the aisles of the PX.
I just don't like to do real early rides.

Sunday is set for Gwoog at 0900. If you don't want to do that I'm thinking tomorrow (Saturday) I could do the Castle Trails, maybe 1100? Is that too early?

Re: Any big rides this weekend?
I didn't get any bites on my offer to ride Trail #2 so I opted to go solo. The Fire Roads and Single Track were 80% MUSH which made for a great resistance ride and the wind added to the adventure as well. I'd like to join y'all for the Super Bowl Ride but I'll have to wait and see how I feel in the Morn because it's been a long time since my legs have felt like they do right now. I don't know how much vert I got in today but I sure am feeling it!!! Now for my favorite recovery drink..........BEER...

Weekend ride- Ley's go
I'm good for Sat after 1300 or Sun after ~0900. (Working nights the next couple of weeks.)
I found part of the F trail and would be interested in learning the rest. Or any other trails within a few hours drive.

Here is the meeting place for Gwoog. hop on B270 in Vogelweh heading towards Pirmasens. It's the parking lot on the right side of the road just before the lake and the See Hotel.
