Mission Statement

The K.M.C. Cycling Club is a diverse group of people from across the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) brought together by a common interest in cycling and cycling advocacy. Whether through racing, group rides, community involvement or social events centered on cycling, K.M.C. Cycling's primary purpose is to further the sport of cycling in the KMC, and provide a valuable cycling outlet to its members. We are a not-for-profit organization that values diversity, friendship and, above all, a good ride.

A couple of us are looking to do this Sunday. This is a fun family ride. We'll probably meet between1000 and1100hrs to enjoy a days ride on the Wienstras...

Does anyone have details on the starting point/where this takes place? I'm trying to convince my spouse this is a great way to spend our anniversary day. I don't think she's convinced.

We are meeting in Neustadt (weinestr) tomorrow around 10.30.
I will ride from Kaiserslautern and come back by train.

so the ride starts in Neustadt? I'm considering brinigng out the tandem and just doing an hour or so out then back after lunch on the road. If you see a tandem Ibis on the road that'll be us.

We like to take highway 39 in and park just outside of Nuestadt close to the swimbad then ride our bikes to the autofrietag. When you get to the autofrie zone the roads will be closed to vehicle's. I'm not sure what the group wants to do but we usually head north from there towards Bad Durkhiem...

thanks, I should look pretty obvious on the tandem... I'll be looking for the KMC cycling jerseys, I figure at least one of ya'll will be in one.
