Mission Statement

The K.M.C. Cycling Club is a diverse group of people from across the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) brought together by a common interest in cycling and cycling advocacy. Whether through racing, group rides, community involvement or social events centered on cycling, K.M.C. Cycling's primary purpose is to further the sport of cycling in the KMC, and provide a valuable cycling outlet to its members. We are a not-for-profit organization that values diversity, friendship and, above all, a good ride.

Late notice, but Tdog and I will ride this Saturday afternoon. Locking down the meeting location: Meet at the Vogelweh gym parking lot at 1400. Ride will leave base by the commissary, head over to B270 and turn south down to Hotel Swan. Turn right (W) towards Queidersbach, and continue on to Weselberg. Stop at Wheelsports to say hi and snag a free drink, then come back to Vogelweh along any route that looks fun. There are a few good hills in this route, so leave the TT/tri bikes at home. Usually rules: ~25kph average, we will slow down to pick up riders, and will ride for about 2 hours. Nothing special, just getting out to ride.

BTW: I finally got a power meter, so I will be testing that out on the ride.

I am in for riding all weekend! If we do a Saturday afternoon ride to Weselberg we can stop in and have a free beer with Frank at Wheelsports. I am also in for the Sunday ride as well.
