I'm planning to be there to ride, looks like it starts at 8:30am so will plan to be there around 8:00am. Will plan to meet up with MJ to try on some of the Voler kits. I'm assuming the start will be easy to find once I get into Lemburg. See you there!

Look for the Sport Complex next to the school, parking may be a concern...

Re: Wasgau Marathon 2012
Now that was a brutal ride. I finished the marathon route at about 1730, so I was on the bike for eight and a half hours. Towards the end I couldn't ride up any hill that required me to shift below the middle ring, because my legs just wouldn't pump. I am definitely marking 100+ km ride off my "to do" list.

We ended up riding the 65km route. It was kind of disapointing. Mostly fire roads and very few trails. Started cramping at the 40km mark so we took a few short cuts with some trails back to Lemberg. Found out later that the 85,105 and 45km route had all of the good trails. WTH. We might hit up the area again this weekend with some local riders and try to hit as many trails as possible.
It was still a great time.
Re: Wasgau Marathon 2012
I kept following 45km trail markers after I got lost. T'was mostly single track, but generally up.
when do the photos come out, I was trying to do mean or pain faces for most of them...

Re: Wasgau Marathon 2012
There was a lot of wonderful single track downhill in the 105km, though the torture of the uphill parts almost destroyed my enjoyment of them. Still, easily the best single track I have run to date. I am looking forward to seeing pictures.

All out KMC Kit! Someone post the pic from the start, so I have a better collection.

Re: Wasgau Marathon 2012
I finished the 65km route, ended up being more like 60km. I was wondering where all the single track was, was a little disappointed, but beat sitting on the couch. I thought the 65km and 85km were the same route, but never saw where you would split to the 85km??
