It's SO gonna be worth grinding a 30-lb bike with 2.4" meats up that hell hill. Thank gawd for 24x36T gearing.

I don't know that I've ever actually seen dry eather in Neustadt... does such a thing actually exist?

Also, if you have a GPS download the route posted at the beginning of the thread. It always nice to have a few people knowing where we are going.

Catch the S1 Kaiserslautern from platform 3 (subject to change do check the boards when you get there) at 7:09. Get's you to neustadt 8:09.PB Matrix wrote:How about riders from H-berg? How would we ride a train?
Not sure what the cost is, but probably less than 8 euros. Make sure you buy a child's ticket for you bike (required for bikes before 9 a.m. on weekdays).

9:56?
Re: 3RD Annual Veterans Day MTB Ride!
That gives me 30 minutes to get to the trail and BS in the parking lot while munching on bakery yummies.
Edit: oh, wait- I thought it was a 10:30 start for some reason. Guess I'll be rolling out at 0-dark thirty. S1 train arriving at 8:01.

Let me know when to meet you at the train station so I can ride there with you. Also, any idea how much it might cost for a round trip ticket?

Re: 3RD Annual Veterans Day MTB Ride!
I think it will be around 19 EUR, mit farradkarte. I can check the VRN netework to see if we can get cheaper seats. Costs more than gas, but at least you can eat breakfast on the train in and drink beer on the train back.
Do you need to stop by tomorrow and get your tires squared away?

No, but thank you. I took them to Franks. I tryed to accomplish it myself but the factory rim tape was not seated properly causing a piss poor seal. I was able to watch the mechanic and it seemed pretty easy.
Let me know the time we need to be at the train station so I can meet you there.

Re: 3RD Annual Veterans Day MTB Ride!
Why not take the S2 from KL hbf at 7:58 to get to neustadt by 8:25...
Folks just have to be willing to wait five min or so at the trailhead.
