Training Cyclocross races 12/18 12/31
For those of you interested, there are a series of cross races not far from here. A few have gone by and there are only 2 left. From what I can gather they are not sanctioned so anyone can race. I cannot find an exact race price, but I was using Google translate and sometimes the translation is not so good. If anyone can give a run down here on what the site says it would be appreciated.

Here is what thedude found out, he also has a message in with the promoter to find out more details
"It is in Kirchheimbolanden off of A63. The way will have signs directing you to the corse when you come off the autobahn. Richtung Ortteil Haide immer Richtung Friedwald. They had two start times listed, 1400 and 1500. 1500 was for the elite, mtb, cross start. 1400 was youth, womens and seniors"
Post up if you are interested in going and maybe we can carpool or caravan there.

I'm planning on it. Does senior mean "non-elite" adults?

Get a list of questions together and if the guy ever answers my email I will ask him.
Re: Training Cyclocross races 12/18 12/31
Is this a cross race or a MTB race?
I don't get why the race distance isn't listed, but the time for the race is (i.e. 40 min or 60 min). Or, maybe this is my ignorance of cross races....
Any idea on the distance of the actual race?
In any case, I might be in for the 31 Dec race, depending on clearance from higher.

Re: Training Cyclocross races 12/18 12/31
The races are timed. They try to hit the designated race length, so they will usually time the laps and give the riders a lap countdown once they have figured out how long the laps are taking. Most of the hobby class races are 30-40min and the licensed/elite races are 1hr. I'm new to this as well, so the race next weekend would be my first. From what I've seen they allow cross bikes or mountain bikes, but the course is usually set up to favor the cross bikes. Hope you make it out. I will be skiing on the 30th, so won't make that one. Hope this helps.
