Bastongne Historical March
December 10th is the day for the Bastogne march this year. It is not a formal march, but more like a volksmarch. Starts at 0800 to 0930 in Bastogne and walks the perimeter the 101st held during the Battle of the Bulge. There is three distances this year. 7km, 13km, and 22km. They provide maps, hot beverages on the route, and you get a patch and certificate for finishing. Registration is at the event or the day prior in Bastogne. It is a great event to go to as there are tons of US military folks with their familes. They have reenactors along the way in fox holes and playing out battles from the siege. Lots of Belgians and even folks from the UK show for it as well. I will be doing the 13km.

Was planning to do the walk this year, but it's on the same day as our clinic holiday dinner. Hope you all have a great time.

The weather was a little rough, but the beer was smooth. Had a good time and I am very glad I finally got to do this event.

Re: Bastongne Historical March
Lots of mud and a little rain today. Daniel took Israel with him and he sucked it up and crushed the 13k with us. Bonus after was finding a store with one more 3 liter chimay blue downtown on our way out. Score! We had great time overall I think. Daniel...Lucy tipped it up at dinner and put her party hat on. All the way back to Rodenbach too. She was a friggin hoot on the whole drive home.
