US Forces MTB Series #2 - Kaiserslautern, Sunday, July 22, 2012
Anyone interested in pre riding the race course on Wednesday evening?
1730 ish from the start in Rodenbach, riding a lap or two, easy pace. Maybe a post ride beer...
Should be a good event on Sunday. I hope to see a lot of participation from local riders. The first race in the series had 40+. I think we can do better!
Post up if you are interested.

I am definately doing it. Start time for open riders without license is 1000. Elite licensed riders are at 1100. Anyone know where the start is? Can we register day of the event? I went to ODR and asked about it at Pulaski and they knew jack rainbow. Don't put up banners all over base and up on the marquie and have zero info when I ask at ODR.

I'm not going to ride it tonight, for lack of interest. I'll probably go over on Saturday sometime.
The start is near the Fire Station and Sport Hall. There is a map and english info on the website. Check the US Forces FB post.

Mike,
Been a little under the weather, or I would probably have joined you. May be up for a lap or two on Saturday. Let me know.

I would be down for an easy pace lap on saturday. Seeing the course before it has to be raced is always a benefit in a MTB race.

Well I am out for the pre-ride. They put a heavy equipment drop in a dry creek bed here in Graf, and I will be here all day tomorrow getting it out and doing the investigation. Not home until mid-Saturday. Worst part is I had planned on leaving Friday, so no food in the room except a box of Rice Krispie Treats. Hotel has a fridge with free beer so it is Hefeweizen and Krispy Treats for dinner. Where is a Waffle House when you need one?

Jim: I'm sure you will be just fine! Looking forward to seeing you on the bike!
Chad: I'm not really familiar with the village. I'm sure there is a place to grab coffee near the start. Let's plan on 1000 near the sport hall and go from there. I'll update the post or call you with any specifics.
Matt: I hope you enjoyed your dinner. See you Sunday!

I'd like to join your pre-race practice ride and should be able to make 1000. I'm not sure where the sport hall is, but can try to find it. If you get a chance message me your phone number so I can call if I'm unable to find it. Thanks, Charlie

The course for tomorrow looks good. Hopefully it stays dry! If you're on the fence about racing, just come out and do it. We ran into Steve Silvey and Tim(last name?), who are organizing the U.S. side of things. They are hoping we can do some damage against the Germans :O). I will be there before 10am, for the 11am start, so come out and race or just support your fellow KMCCers!
