Mission Statement

The K.M.C. Cycling Club is a diverse group of people from across the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) brought together by a common interest in cycling and cycling advocacy. Whether through racing, group rides, community involvement or social events centered on cycling, K.M.C. Cycling's primary purpose is to further the sport of cycling in the KMC, and provide a valuable cycling outlet to its members. We are a not-for-profit organization that values diversity, friendship and, above all, a good ride.

The Kaiserslautern Stadtradeln begins on Wednesday, June 6th 2012. This event is intended to promote bicycle riding in the Kaiserslautern community, to improve cycling awareness and reduce CO2 emissions. Individual bikers can sign-up at h t t p:/ /w w w.stadtradeln.de/. When you sign up, you select/create a group with whom you log kilometers, and the group competes against other groups in the area, while the city competes against other cities in Germany. I am still not sure if there are prizes.

I set up a group for my Battalion, since I hadn't joined up with the KMC Cycling group yet. KMC cyclists are welcome to join my group, 39th Trans, or start a KMC Cycling group of your own (I would love for everyone to join my group, since, so far, there are only two riders in my group). Come and ride!
