Mavic Aksium Wheelset
OK Roadies, I need your advice on a wheelset. I'm looking at the below wheelset and really like the price... It seems light enough at 1700 grams.
I will need it for moderate road riding. One or two rides per week, plus the occasional stew ride or group ride. I don't need the most super lightweight wheelset money can buy, I just want something that's good enough, won't explode at the end of a stew ride, and is durable enough to last a couple or three seasons before I have to start looking again.
What do y'all think of these: Mavic Aksium wheelset on Pricepoint

Re: Mavic Aksium Wheelset
They are nice wheels, Mavic has been great to me over the years. The price is right.
Now, my current ride is on the nicest rolling road wheels I've ever ridden:

You can find better deals, I certainly paid less. Spinergy is good with custy service, too.

That is a pretty good deal. I would jump on that. I would get the Mavic before the easton. That is must my preference though.

Sadly I would go Mavic before Easton as well. The last few years Easton has been producing garbage. Light garbage that breaks within a month.

I use the Aksiums currently on the Canyon with no problems, and would not recommend Eastons based on the piece of crap set I have in the garage.
