Neustadt an der Weinstrasse

Monday 16 Jan 2012, we will be starting at 0930 in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse and heading straight into the Pfalzerwald and some awesome singletrack with lots of climbing but the reward is a awesome many Km long singletrack descent. This will be around 25km and around 700Hm. This is a no drop ride Come on out and join us. This will be the same route as the Veterans day ride but maybe we can ride it in the reverse direction?

the directions take you to Saarlandstrasse. Then turn right on Hauberallee and there is plenty of parkingon the side of the street.

If the weather cooperates, I am in for sure. I haven't ridden in a few weeks, so I will be the no-drop limfac. Look forwared to seeing you guys.

Wish I could make it... got work

I'm interested. The train puts in at 0825 and 0801 ... if I catch the later, I could be at the starting point by 0835-40ish.

Same parking spot as the Vday ride. We would wait for ya MJ. It should take you 5-10 minutes to get to the start point from the bhf.

I was outside today at 0830. It was COLD. Any chance of 0930? I am in either way.

me likes 09:30 to 10:00 ish as well, but can make 08:30

I'm planning on doing this one as well, and for once I'd like to push for a later start as well... 8:30 this morning, i heard eskimos outside my window complaining about the cold!

ok, lets move it back to 0930 since y'all are scared of being a little cold. At 0930 this morning it was still cold as hell out and some of us were riding. See y'all Monday 0930.

Also, make sure to bring some grub with you.

I am not sceered, I am lazy, leaving the house at 08:30 is better than 07:30....

What's the timeline look like for the ride? Sounds like an all day event.

I will see you all there. Not excited about the cold but I will try and layer up. Buying the toe warmers/covers today.

So does anyone want to carpool from Ktown? The cold is going to be a deterent, and someone else going with me will be a motivator to get out in it. I can take someone with a bike in the truck.

It will robably take around 4.5 hours once you figure in all the BSing and a mechanical or two. It willl be a fun day of riding. Bring your camera and take some pics.
