Is anyone interested in teaming up with me to do the Transalp? The entree fee is 625EU, but it covers many things.
Take a look at the site and let me know.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The race fees of € 625.- (Euros) include the following goods and services:
•trail book covering the route of the race
• free-of-charge download of the trail book
• drinks and food at various check points / food stops along the trail
• drink and food options at the finish of each stage
•1x duffle bag (33”x15”x14”)
•give-away articles / samples
•starting / bib numbers and official electronic time-measurement
•daily postings of stage results and current rankings at the race office
•1x finisher shirt (only for official finisher)
•race medal and certificate of participation
•technical assistance / services at the finish of each stage
•daily pasta party and awards ceremony
•daily printed race report “Daily News”
•daily slide show after the awards ceremony
•post-race compilation of select photos and videos
•free-of-charge baggage shuttles between stage locations
•Participant T-Shirt

Obviously this is a very serious event, so we will need to do some serious training. PM me if you are interested.

Man, that sounds great- but it's July, which would involve big sacrifices for me. Maybe [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] as Steve is interested, too? I'd really like to plan a multi-day Alps trip by MTB.
