Mission Statement
The K.M.C. Cycling Club is a diverse group of people from across the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) brought together by a common interest in cycling and cycling advocacy. Whether through racing, group rides, community involvement or social events centered on cycling, K.M.C. Cycling's primary purpose is to further the sport of cycling in the KMC, and provide a valuable cycling outlet to its members. We are a not-for-profit organization that values diversity, friendship and, above all, a good ride.

TRANSALP 2012; 14 to 21 JULY
Is anyone interested in teaming up with me to do the Transalp? The entree fee is 625EU, but it covers many things.

The race fees of € 625.- (Euros) include the following goods and services:
•trail book covering the route of the race
• free-of-charge download of the trail book
• drinks and food at various check points / food stops along the trail
• drink and food options at the finish of each stage
•1x duffle bag (33”x15”x14”)
•give-away articles / samples
•starting / bib numbers and official electronic time-measurement
•daily postings of stage results and current rankings at the race office
•1x finisher shirt (only for official finisher)
•race medal and certificate of participation
•technical assistance / services at the finish of each stage
•daily pasta party and awards ceremony
•daily printed race report “Daily News”
•daily slide show after the awards ceremony
•post-race compilation of select photos and videos
•free-of-charge baggage shuttles between stage locations
•Participant T-Shirt
Obviously this is a very serious event, so we will need to do some serious training. PM me if you are interested.

Man, that sounds great- but it's July, which would involve big sacrifices for me. Maybe [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] as Steve is interested, too? I'd really like to plan a multi-day Alps trip by MTB.
