The fad will fade and you guys will be stuck with odd sized wheels. The standard is the standard for a reason. Ask a Pro Mtb racer who can't find a team that will pay him about fads in cycling. Better yet...find a triathlete about 650c tires.

Re: Woot! Racing Ralph $38
When the army outfitted a unit with off-road cross country bikes as an experiment they chose 700c (29er) sized wheels because of the benefits, and the experiment worked out very well... In the 1920s!
When folks like Gary Fisher and Tom Ritchey started basically riding beefy road bikes up and down moubtain sides in the late 70s and early 80s, 650b and 700c were about as common as 622 (26ers).
Each wheel size has its advantages and disadvantages.
Not a fad, just a matter of personal preference.

700c is actually a 27" tire. When I started riding in the 80's, bikes came in 700c or 27". About the same sized wheels, but different enough to cause problems with brakepad reach.

700c and 29er rimes are exactly the same diameter; 622 mm.spookyload wrote:700c is actually a 27" tire. When I started riding in the 80's, bikes came in 700c or 27". About the same sized wheels, but different enough to cause problems with brakepad reach.
The 29er designation comes from the generally larger off-road tires used so what would normally be a '27inch' tire ends up being roughly 29 inches. Rim diameter is the same though.
Sorry I mistyped up there in my previous post when I put 622 next to 26er, 559 is the actual diameter for the 26er.

Just received my daily email from Chainlove and there's no mention of the tires you want.
I've had this problem in the past, when you need it they don't post it...
