Memorial Weekend Rides

Post by velo-doc on Thu May 26, 2011 8:49 am

The 4-day weekend is shaping up to be a great one for riding. Forecast looks a little sketchy for tomorrow w/ cool temps and possibility of rain in the AM, but looking good for the rest of the weekend. I would like to lead a 50+ mile road ride on Sunday or Monday. Maybe the weinstrasse, or a France loop. Post up what you're interested in and we'll make it happen.

Cheers,

Chad

I am game for a saturday ride at around 7,8 or 9 start time. I need to go easy after tonight wind fest and tuesday's speed wagon my legs are sore.

Let me know I would like to do 50 + but not at break neck speed.

Can't make Friday unless you know of a child sitter.

It's looking like Friday and Monday for my rides. Saturday is going to be a family day trip to Trier, and probably a Memorial Day picnic on Sunday. I'll post up the proposed route for Monday.

Sounds good, Tim. I did a nice 42mi loop from Bann to Waldfischbach-Jahanniskreuz-Queidersbach-Bann today. Only got a little wet :O) I'm looking at some routes for Monday, including a longer weinstrasse ride as well as one to France. Contemplating around 70mi...if your down with that. I'll hit you up on Sunday.

Was a great RR with Tim. We opted for the shorter France loop, which ended up being 58mi from just outside the LRMC gate. A longer ride to Bitche may be in order if we can get a larger group together. What a 4-day!!
