7 spd Shifter/lever combo

Post  MJ on Mon May 09, 2011 2:13 pm

Does anyone have a 7 speed, right (rear), shifter brake lever combo kicking around they are willing to part with?

haha - I could of used them no doubt!

This is a coworkers bike Shimano STX, rigid, canti brake, etc ... looking for a cheap fix to keep it rolling. The 8 speed could work if i dial in the limits, but not sure if the indexing would be a problem. The grip shift would work but may be a little "clunky" with the integrated shifter/lever combo ... but function follows forum right?

Mark - Thanks for the offer but I managed to get them working by repositioning one of the springs.

I've been looking for an older GT triple triangle frame for a xtracycle project ... is it something you are parting with?

I was going to use it for "wall art" but if you have need for it...it's 2003 avalanche 3.0 Med frame without a fork...I have other parts as well you just have to let me know what your looking for...
