Northwave Jersey Picture

Here is the design. I talked to Silke about the other designs I was expecting to get as well, and she said Northwave will not just do a randum design without us at least picking colors and giving them a little ideas about what to make. We can use examples from other teams or designs and so on, but they will not make up one for us from scratch.

Opinions, observations, and comments are welcome.

I think it looks pretty good. I know at the last meeting it was discussed that we wanted to have a option in red. Is it possible to get this on in red too?

Not crazy about the jersey. I know that everyone is in a hurry to have one in hand, but a little tweaking could improve the look...a lot.

1. KMC Cycling is hard to read with the black border running through it.
2. The logos are small and probably will be hard to read. I think that Thirsty Nelly's should be larger, since they are the ones actually putting money up.
3. Looks like Northwave took one of their stock jerseys and just superimposed it on the design we sent them...and it just looks busy.
4. I like the sleeve design, although the US flag could be flipped so that it is advancing.
5. I don't hate the colors, but it would be nice to see if others would provide more contrast.

Just my 2 cents. I would send it back to Northwave for some suggestions for mods and see what they come up with.

I agree with velodoc on most of his inputs. Looks like Northwave improrted our jpegs and threw them on a stock jersey. About five minutes worth of graphic desgin. Give your sponsors some value in their money. I like the sleeves, but hope the stars are facing forward whichever sleeve they end up on. Let Park and Thirsty Nelly's see their name. Someone would have to be up on you to read those sponsors. Makes going back to them in the future a whole lot easier. I like the Wheelsports logos as is.

I could go with everything except the flags...I thought we wanted them to wrap around the end of the sleeves with both German and American alternating...just my 2€...

Ill write more tomorrow when I'm not using my phone to type, but I have to say I'm quite disappointed. I agree with most of Chad's input.

I hate to say this, but some of the designs submitted by our own club members looked better than this one. I do not like the color and the sponsor logos look more like stickers than logos. The lettering across the back is too small. The pig and the wording KMC Cycling should always be together. Why do we have periods in KMC? It probably has to do with some long-ago-ignored English rule on acronyms. I think we should get rid of that on both the shirt and the WEBSITE. Friends, I think we need to try this again.

The colors look better on the 3d image. I still think the jersey needs to be worked. Northwave did us no favors with this design. The flag either needs to be reversed or put on the other sleeve. The sponsors are totally random. Seeing the 3d also shows that the KMC Cycyling needs to be bigger. That is who we are. It should be as big across the front in font as they can fit.

Okay, now I've seen the 3D pics, and it looks a heckuva lot better... at least the green is Forrest Green, not frog-puke green. And the logos etc. are a little more clear...

Here's some recommended changes I'd like to propose (I think if we provide very specific guidance to northwave we're more likely to get what we want):
Front of Jersey:
1-Sponsor Logos should be generally about 25% larger
2-Sponsor Logos should be in the dark green (currnetly green) above the club name. (moving the club name down a little should make room for sponsor logos)
3-remove the periods from the club name
4-Font/typeface for club name, motto, and website is 'Cooper' or any other similar rounded, seriffed, bold, non-eccentric typeface. (designers should be able to decypher what this means... in plain english, it is the same text used on the website).
5- Club logo (pig on bike) should be about 200-250% of its current sized, centered, below the club name.

Back of Jersey:
1-club website text should be about 200% of its current size
2-Parkbrau sponsor logo should be moved above the pocket-line
3-Club lugo should be about 150-200% its current size and centered, below the pocket line.

Sleeves:
1-US Flag must have blue field toward the front of the Jersey

Also:
1-Please show us this design (with our changes) with the following color changes: replace the green with a bright mid-tone red, replace the grey with white.

What do y'all think of this as feedback for northwave, and see what they come back with...

Yup, I sent him a couple of examples and he told me which one he wanted and I forwarded the jpeg to slim.
