Trierer X-Duathlon: Off road
I've registered for the Trierer X-Duathlon. I did the long course(5k-25k-5k) last year, but will be opting for the short course(2.5k-12.5k-2.5k) this year. Trier is close and the drive is a piece of cake, so this is not an all-day affair. The short course is a nice distance if you're just starting out, or have more experience and want to push hard in a short event.

I was planning on doing the long course, but after fracturing a vertebrae a week or so ago, I might attempt the short course as well. I may try to run next week to see how it feels.

Sorry to hear about your back, Justin. Let me know if you are interested in doing any bricks together before the race.

The Trierer X-Duathlon is Sunday the 13th. A few people have expressed interest in the short course. Let me know if you're still interested and I will post plans for carpooling, etc.

I am interested in the short course, but I am also partially brain dead with work right now and can't remember what I am supposed to be doing that weekend. I think it is a PM commitment I have on Saturday, so I should be good for Saturday morning/afternoon.

I want to do the short course, and I am definitely interested in carpooling up there. If you have room I will like to ride along. Can I register the day of?

I'm good for the short course. Like Daniel said, can we register day of, or do we have to do it before? Interested in carpooling too.

All,
Looks like there is no "race day" registration. The website shows that tomorrow, the 7th may be the last day for registration, so better make it happen if you're interested. This will be a good warmup for the full distance Eifeler Duathlon on 10 April! Let me know.

Einzelstrter is what I am guessing I am supposed to register for. There is two short course catagories. One is all ages the other is 18+. So Daniel...I am registered. Lets chat about a carpooling. It is the 10 AM start. PS...I run slow.

Good to hear that you got registered, gents. I may be taking my family with me on Sunday, especially if the weather is looking good. If not, then I would be up for carpooling.

Sounds good, Brian. I just signed up my two oldest girls for the race at 1200, so I'll be driving up separate and hanging around for a little longer. Hope you can make it. Looks like we have a decent chance for good weather.

I know it's only a couple of minutes away, but I think we should leave about 0800. What do you think? Don't worry about the running. I am not looking to set any land-speed records myself.

Looking good for Sunday
Well guys...looks like we're going to have the nicest weekend of the year for our first race. Weather folks are predicting mid fifties and mostly cloudy for both days. The bike course will be nice if it stays dry. It was a snowy and muddy mess last year. I plan to be there before 0900 so there's plenty of time for numbers, transition zone set up, warm-up, etc, but I'm kinda OCD about that stuff. I'll be sportin the KMC woolie for warm-up. See you all there.

Unfortunately Moammar Gadhafi is preventing me from coming out and competing this weekend. I will get a good workout in this weekend, its going to be a great racing season.
