Is anyone interested in a ~120km ride from Ramstein village (depart ~9am) thru Homburg and on across to Sarreguemines, France for lunch? We'll take the existing trail system (paved and hard-packed) which is not technical and relatively flat, with an average speed of 23-25kph. The idea is not to break any records but simply get in a few hours of saddle time. There will be no broom wagon so everyone must be self reliant with spares, tools, hydration and cycling sustenance.  Again, it's a no drop ride so we'll all stop for punctures and mechanicals but if we can't solve the problem, you'll have to phone a friend.  If you're in pretty good shape but have never ridden this far, this will be a good confidence booster. If you have any questions or suggestions, please send me a message.

Okay, perhaps a bridge too far... Is anyone up for Ramstein to Homburg? Depart around 12pm (noon)...

I am in for this. I just picked up some 40c tires for the cross bike, might have to break them in tomorrow. I'll call as soon as I get back from Frankfurt just in case something changes, but think I can make noon without too much trouble. Remind me of where you want to meet? (Ramstein village center near the bike shop?)

Excellent! Yes, the village center, near the bike shop.
See you tomorrow.
