The K.M.C. Cycling Club is a diverse group of people from across the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) brought together by a common interest in cycling and cycling advocacy. Whether through racing, group rides, community involvement or social events centered on cycling, K.M.C. Cycling's primary purpose is to further the sport of cycling in the KMC, and provide a valuable cycling outlet to its members. We are a not-for-profit organization that values diversity, friendship and, above all, a good ride.

New to the club

I got to Landstuhl in September. I love biking. I am always trying to fit rides into my schedule. At Ft. Bragg, I did 95% road biking, but I am now realizing the great MTB opportunity in my backyard. I have been getting the Surly out almost every weekend that is is not pouring rain. Look forward to some group rides and getting lost in the forest.

Not yet. I have always been interested in a Fat Bike. Right now, I have a Troll. I am in the planing stages of building a new 29er. I would like to use Surly new 29+ (3 inch tires).

Well, have fun riding the trails. My MTB is packed up, as I am recovering from rotator cuff surgery, but I am out on the road 4-6 days a week, mostly commuting from Landstuhl into Panzer Kaserne. If you are interested in a road ride, give me a shout. I am riding at 1400 tomorrow.

My road bike is set up for my trainer right now, but I do have my fixed gear. I am not a fast on it.

The ride tomorrow might be a bit hilly for the fixie, but BigWheels and I both have fixed gear bikes. Want to plan a fixed ride for next weekend?

It is supposed to be 28 and dry. Perfect German riding weather.
