Has anyone ordered through Canyon.com? Looking for a CX ride and their new ride is pretty sweet. Wanted to know if they took VAT forms.

I bought a road bike from them in 2012 and they would not take a VAT form. I called and stated my case that Rose Versand takes VAT forms, but they wouldn't budge. Let me know if they have changed policy. Rose has a nice CX as well, black anodized.

Re: Canyon Bicycles
sometimes if you have them ship it to your APO the vat will drop, vat does not apply because they are shipping it out of Germany. That is also a trick to use with Hibike. Just an idea.

Thank you for your e-mail from 26th September 2013 regarding your question.
"We are pleased about your interest in our Canyon Bikes. As a serving US soldier living in Germany, you are entitled to Tax-free purchasing. If you buy a Canyon bike, you would require an invoice for the bike you wish to purchase. You would then take the invoice to your tax office and pay them the tax free amount. The tax office would then issue us a cheque for the full amount.
I hope I was able to help you with my e-mail. If you have any further questions or difficulties, please contact us again."

Re: Canyon Bicycles
Yes it dose, there is a set value on the regular VAT form, I think it's 2500€ or 3000€, anything over that amount requires this special check for the amount of the purchase which you get through the VAT office. Contact the VAT office for better details...DuviVr6 wrote:So this is the meail I got from Canyon, does this sound right to anyone?
