Good Travel Case?
I am starting to think about my upcoming PCS (JAN '14) and how I am going to pack my bikes. Last time, I only had the old Hard Rock which I wasn't worried about. This time, I have the Mojo, the Madone, the Bandwagon, my wife's Marlin and Campus commuter, and still have the Hard Rock. I am considering getting a dedicated case for the Mojo, and maybe the Madone. For the rest, I will stick with used bicycle boxes from an LBS.
Any suggestions for the cases for the Mojo and/or Madone? Also, any thoughts on which LBS I should hit first?
-Bobby

Trico Ironcases are the best I have found. About $350 a pop though.

Thanks. I may spend the money for at least one. The Ibis is worth more than my car.

I have a trico and it has been perfect for every move. They will jack you if you try to put it on a plane, but I rarely did that unless I was authorized excess baggage. Lufthansa charged $200 to ship the case when I came to the states with the bike once.

Ditto on the trico iron cases--we used our two for the move here--we packed them, showed them to the household goods shippers and then put the covers on. We've also flown all over the country and back & forth to Europe several times with these and have never had any issues. Best case out there by far in MHO.
