Furlough Friday Rodalben
The combination of Furlough Friday, and an Army day-off this Friday makes a great opportunity to go ride the F-Trail on a weekday when the hiking crowds should be nearly non-existent.
Anyone in for a full loop?

Really not sure... In better shape, I'd say 4 hours or so, but i'm still kind of rough lately so maybe more like 5 to account for breaks, mechanicals etc.gsmolin wrote:how long do you plan to take to do a full loop?
I'd like to keep a moderate pace with just a few breaks... One after the climb into the B-side, one at the end of the B-side/halfway point, and probably another at the Restaurant on the A-side.
The pace can be relatively slow or relatively fast, i just want to keep moving and limit the breaks.
If slower riders want to show up, I'll adjust and won't ditch anyone, if faster riders show up I'll do my best to keep pace, but won't make any promises.

Re: Furlough Friday Rodalben
We can start earlier if you like, to accomodate getting home early enough to keep mama happy.gsmolin wrote:I may be in for half likely can't be away for 5 hrs!
I'd prefer not starting early enough to require lights, but pretty much anything after sunrise (around 6ish) is doable...
How about this:
We start somewhere between 6:30 and 7:30 (you pick the time) ride as fast as the slower of us can maintain for 4 hours; however far that gets us we just call good, then enjoy an ice-cold pre-lunch beer and we're both home to our respective household 6's before noon...
Or option two, if you really only have tge time for one side, we do the a side, starting from lidl around 8:30 or so...

Well dangit! My wife just told me we have an appointment Friday morning at 10 a.m.
I could do an afternoon ride; probably not a full loop, but certainly a few hours worth...

I'm going to actually head out there this morning. I got stuff to work on this evening, to include reassembling more of my bikes out of my house hold goods!
EDIT: Cancel that. I'll be there at 1300
