Dirty Century
So I am hitting it hard tomorrow. Have gotten in great mileage on the road this month due to being TDY for the whole month. A local group here is doing their version of a MTB Marathon. It is the Dirty Century. Doesn't look too daunting as I am opting out of the 100 mile version and doing the 100k. pretty flat in all honesty, just an altitude issue at for a bit. Starts at 5700' and peaks out at 6700'. Check it out. Will be rocking the KMC kit of course. The new stuff is damn nice.

Re: Dirty Century
Be sure and post pics. 100k is no joke, though I guess not having to many hills will help.

Re: Dirty Century
4:46 with 2600' of climbing in 100k. Headwind on the way out was 10-15 mph. Tail wind on the way back was 25-35 mph. I think I was actually blown up the last hill (that's what she said). Hardest part today was water. It was a self-supported ride, so I had to bring a camelback. Not being used to wearing one made the shoulders a little tired.
