Road bike parts
Good day all. I am in need of some assistance. I just bought this frame on eBay:
LEADER 722RS
Hydroformed downtube and top tube. Beautiful hand welding. Logos under the clear powdercoat.
Fits two bottle cages and cable guides.
Perfect road racing geometry and has an amazing feel.
Hand TIG welding all around.
Frame is ready to build and does not need any chasing, reaming, or facing.
Will work with standard road components.
The Leader 722RS Frame is made of Eco Founderland 4130 Cro-moly steel.
Hydroformed tubesets and beautiful smooth welds.
Required:
- 1-1/8" standard headset
-27.2mm seat post
-68mm English bottom bracket
-700c wheels
-rear spacing 130mm
-will fit up to a 175mm crank arm
Features:
- Vertical dropouts
- Hand welded
- Integrated seat clamp
- Rear brake mount guides and cable guides
GEOMETRY:
Seat Tube: 62CM C-T
Seat Tube: 45CM C-C
Top Tube: 58CM C-C
Head Tube: 140MM
Weight: 4.4 LBS
I am looking to completely outfit this bike with cheap or free parts. I would like to begin riding a road bike but would like to begin at a limited budget. I imagine many of you have a plethora of old parts looking for a new home. I am not picky. I have nothing but a frame so anything will be greatly appreciated.
Please PM me if you can help in any way.

I have a HG cassette in 11-28 and a Sora front derailleur you can have free. I might have a few other things in the Ultegra range for cheep to set you up.

Re: Road bike parts
I've got an entire cross bike you can take all the parts from that you want except for the frame, fork and brake calipers (the parts are all campy road parts... Of course I also have a road brake or two lying around.
The parts are campignolo... But I think entry level campy. The wheelset... Not sure... Basically it has all you would need to get set up.
I ask just two things:
You come pull the parts (or help me).
And ta a look and see What you have lying about that you might offer in trade.
If you don't have anything, no worries, I accept good karma and promissory-beer-notes as well!

Jonesy - When is a good time to stop by? How would you feel about me taking the bike to my house and removing the needed parts and returning the bike to you? If not, I understand. I don't want to inconvienence you or rush the process. I can bring the remaining parts back to you the following day if that works. Of coarse, along with an appropriate amount of your beverage of choice.

Looks like that frame did not come with a fork, and I'm sure Jonesy's fork will not have the length you need (it's a CX fork anyway). I'll check my stuff for one that is longer.

Thank you. That would be great.cllulei wrote:Looks like that frame did not come with a fork, and I'm sure Jonesy's fork will not have the length you need (it's a CX fork anyway). I'll check my stuff for one that is longer.

What kind of parts do you need? I have an older Cannondale that doesn't really fit me. I have been debating on selling it but because it was my first full Suspension bike it has been hard to say good-bye. I need to choose my battles and the parts are doing nobody any good. You helped me so I am inspired to do the same for you.
