No November KMCC Meeting
Due to generally cruddy weather, holidays, headers into trees, hospital stays and various other excuses, we will not be having a November KMCC meeting. I propose that for December we plan a get together/ride/meeting/party. I know there had been some banter about it over the last month, but to my recollection, nothing had been set in stone. So let's hear the suggestions, offers to host a party, etc and get something on the books. I know that Matt plans to be rolling around the third week in Dec, so maybe we could have something on the second weekend. Hopefully he actually followed through with what he told me and put his bike in a box, so that he wasn't tempted to ride it I'm sure he will join us for sipping some beers...through straws of course. Let me know what you all think.

I am still in the KMC area, as continual obstacles crop up to my move. Let me know when and where.

Re: No November KMCC Meeting
Who's up for something this coming weekend? The next weekend will probably be getting into other holiday commitments. I'm thinking a MTB ride + Food and drinks. Saturday would be the obvious choice for max flexibility, but Sunday is possible. Any good riding near a Weihnachtsmarkt? We could hit the market and have food and gluhwein afterward? Maybe something at a restaurant. Lot's of possibilities...post up your ideas.

Chad,
I would be in for whatever. Saturday would probably be better IMO.

Ya, the K-town market will be in full swing. We could easily end there and grab some food and gluhwein/gluhbier.

Re: No November KMCC Meeting
Though the Christmas market is a great idea, it is supposed to be sub freezing and snowing Saturday. Not the best place to hang around and chat for a bit, especially after finishing a ride and being sweaty. Something inside might be better. I don't think Mark needs to take the chance at going three for three with bikes either.

Could always do the trails around landstuhl and bann and then hit the castle. They always welcome us and they have the wood stove for heat. Does anyone know if the christmas market is in landstuhl this weekend?

3 for 3, that is funny. I don't want to be carrying around a lock, so I would echo Steve's response. Castle, inside, fire, warm. And we shouldn't be going fast enough to sweat, isn't there some rule about cycling in December?

No Landstuhl Weinachtsmarkt
This coming weekend there is not a Christmas market in Landstuhl. I am game for the Castle, as well.

Castle sounds like a winner. What time for the ride, and I will show up about an hour and half later. I will add that my wist doesn't hurt much any more, and I think I might be able to hold the bars with the cast now. Bike hasn't shipped yet, so I am tempted. Won't be able to breath very well, but I am tempted!

Re: No November KMCC Meeting
@spookyload...do not, I repeat, do not get on the bike. I really don't not want to see Steve giving you mouth-to-mouth through your wired up jaw after you keel over on the trail! First beer is on me...if you don't ride.
Anybody interested in making it lunch at the restaurant? Website says they are open at 1100. We could ride at 1100 or 1130 and eat at 1300. I could call and confirm they will be open for lunch.

Sounds like fun! I'm headed to the airport. I should have some fabric proofs from Voler waiting for me on the other side of the Atlantic. I'll post some photos.
Enjoy!

Re: No November KMCC Meeting
I just confirmed that the restaurant will be open for lunch tomorrow. Let's plan for an 1100 start from Burg Nanstein parking lot and ride for 1.5-2 hrs, with lunch at 1300 at The Burgschaenke. Should be fun to ride in the fresh pow!
