Turkey day rides Empty Turkey day rides

Post by spookyload Sun Nov 18, 2012 11:28 am

Looking at getting some rides set up for Thurs morning for a pre-fest calorie burn, and something for Friday to avoid Black Friday shopping fest. Proposed:

Thursday at 0900 Gelterswoog for a short loop to get back with your families to eat. We will call it the Turkey Trot.
Friday 1000 for full Rodalben loop or partial.
Saturday 1000 a ride by Steve's place. A Dude Loop of some sort.

Let me know if there is any interest, or we can mix match and change it up.

May be in for the Friday Rodalben ride. Probably won't make others, but a good Rodalben loop will burn off a few pieces of pumpkin pie Razz

Dealers choice on this one Steve. You pick. Bring the pain. My goal is to not even want to ride my bike on Sunday after killing it Thurs, Fri, Sat.

Dagnabbit and carnsarnit!!

I think I may get black-fridayed out of the Rodalben Ride.

I'll probably be on kinder-care duty that morning.

I'll let y'all know for sure tonight, so you can re-adjust the time back to a more liesurely hour if you so choose.

I will be helping with the Turkey Trot (that name is already taken, by the way, by the Ramstein Roadrunners for our fall Volksmarch) so I won't be able to come out and ride. I hope everyone that comes has fun.

And every other running club across America. Nothing says Thanksgiving like running 3.2 miles.

I'll stay local in H-berg for T-Day

Friday, I will do the Rodelban loop. As I have my rack system set up on the Benz, I can stop and pick up "The Dude" and one or two more riders along the way...

Golden giblet award goes to Daniel. Nice ride today. Wait till you fellas see his new ride. P.I.M.P. Who is in for tomorrow. I was thinking 1000 Rodalben A-side. Let everyone get a good ride on the throne before they have to hit the road for Rodalben. Lidl parking lot. Who is in?

Turkey day rides Empty MAN DOWN!!!

Post by thedude76 Fri Nov 23, 2012 6:00 pm

If any of you are in the Landstuhl area, stop by LRMC and wish Spooky well. He went down hard on the ride today. He should be having surgery about now. His jaw is dislocated and broken in 2 places and he has a broken wrist. I am sure he could use all the help and support he can get at the moment.

Get well soon Matt

Just stopped in to see Matt in the ER. He's pretty dinged up, but in good spirits. He will be having surgery on his jaw in the morning and should be able to go home tomorrow. We both got a chuckle out of the surgeon telling him that he had to wire his jaw shut and would probably lose 15-20 pounds! He should be moving like a rocket on the bike after that Wink Guess I made the right decision to stay home today. I already had two mishaps this week, so hitting that slick root may have been #3 for me. Hope everyone else's rides have been good.
