Got some new clipless pedals and shoes today
I got some Shimano clipless pedals and shoes today and WOW what a difference! Going faster just got way easier. I had no idea that the leg going up could provide that much additional power. Can't wait to go on a 40 mile ride this weekend.

Awesome! Just make sure to give yourself a little extra time to think about it at stop signs for a bit. It will become second nature pretty quick though.

Yup...I've dumped it over at stop signs/ coming to a stop in front of a group of people! You never really forget those moments :O)

That's it, you're one step away from a can of shaving cream and a bag of Gillettes...

Ritchey Pro Micro V4 Road Pedals
I bought a pair of these used from Frank on Monday. He is ordering me a set of cleats, since he didn't have the cleats (got left on a set of shoes during a Probefahrt).
Anyone have any thoughts on them?

Re: Got some new clipless pedals and shoes today
had the MTN version V4's for years. thought they'd be really crappy pedals, as i hit a rock with a low-velocity glancing blow and it blew off half of the pedal, making it now a one-sided clipless pedal.
however, that was 6 years ago and i have run them through snow, sand, salt, rain, and mud without other problems.
so, for road pedals, they may be great!
