OBD-II Code Reader Empty OBD-II Code Reader

Post by BigWheels Sun Nov 04, 2012 2:19 pm

I'm slightly embarrassed posting this request on here but vehicle inspection is fast approaching, and I really don't care if my airbags deploy or not so just need to reset the damn thing.

Does anyone have a OBD2 code scanner that I can borrow. Will be more than happy to reward with beer, money, or beads, your choice.

Will the code not reset by pulling the negative battery terminal?

No, it stays on, apparently a safety feature for the airbag. GM forum talk leads me to believe it needs to be properly reset. I had it reset last year but it has recently reappeared. Great timing!

If nobody here has one, Pulaski can do it. I had an ABS light reset prior to getting the car inspected.

I have an OBD-II reader at the house. If you want to drop by the house (in downtown Landstuhl) you can use it tonight, or I can bring it to Panzer Kaserne tomorrow. My phone number is in my profile, text or call.
