Road Bike or Tri specific bike.....makes no matter!

Post by fieldg on Fri Oct 26, 2012 4:12 pm

I am looking around now for a bike to begin competing in triathlons this next year. Does anyone know of a 56 cm road bike or Tri specific bike out there. I'll be checking on all the usual site, just wanted to check here first. Once I get a bike I'll also begin to get involved with KMC Cycling for group rides and everything. Thanks for any ideas, suggestions, or possible bikes.

It's a good time of year to start building a bike. I don't know of anything in a 56, but I do know there are a lot of parts caches, and bike building knowledge, within the club. If you wanted to build something up, with a new or used frame, you would have plenty of support!

As for a complete bike, I'll keep an eye out.

Come join us for the meeting tomorrow, we can talk about some options.

I work with a guy that has a Raleigh Cadent 3.0 that he barely ever rode, and I think it's in the 56 cm size range. I know he's wanting to get rid of it, so I'll see what he wants for it if you're interested. It's a regular road bike with drop bars. Here are a couple links to the specs and random photos:

I have a Lynskey- built Ti with dura-ace and carbon everything up for sale. Spinergy carbon wheels, Q-rings, yadda yadda. 56cm. I also have some FSA Vision tri bars.
